Running Souls Run Club (RSRC) is a Brooklyn, NY based running club. Our workouts are in Prospect Park. We meet up at the entrance to the park on Prospect Park West near 15th Street.
Its founder, Howard Abrams, is both a RRCA Certified Level 1 running coach and a V.02 certified distance running coach.
We are a small friendly group of runners. We welcome both competitive and non-competitive runners who are looking to improve their overall running skills through both speed work and endurance training. Runners should be able to comfortably run at least a 10:30 pace for 3 miles.
Membership
is free.
Non-members are also welcome to attend our runs.
Group coaching at the workouts is free. Private coaching and personal training plans are offered for a reasonable fee.
WEEKLY WORKOUTS
Tuesday evenings at 7pm
Thursday evenings at 7pm (Speed work)
Saturday mornings at 8:45am (Social run plus coffee).
All workouts take place in Prospect Park.
Meet up is at the entrance to Prospect Park on Prospect Park West and 15th Street across from the movie theater.
Tuesday workouts: A choice of either 3.34 to 5 plus miles with or without speed incorporated. Optional drills and strides are included.
Thursday night workouts consist of a different speed workout each week. We begin these workouts with a short series of drills to increase flexibility, speed and to help prevent injury. Total workout time is about one hour.
Saturday workouts: An easy run of 3.34 miles to 5 plus miles followed by coffee.
We incorporate both the Daniels VDOT Running Formula and Lok’s Easy Interval Method into our workouts. Individual coaching is available.
