ABOUT US

Howard is the founder of RSRC and has been running for over 40 years. He completed the 1979 and 1980 NYC Marathon at ages of 12 and 13 in 4:27:41 and 4:11:32 respectively. His mentor is his father who completed 26 consecutive NYC Marathons from 1978 to 2003.

Howard is eager to share his knowledge of running and to help runners reach their potential. He strongly believes that running involves both mental and physical training.

Howard previously organized a weekly speed group for a local running club, has successfully coached individuals, and since March 2020 has been hosting a Thursday night speed group in Prospect Park.

Howard’s partner, Maggie, is a competitive age group runner and is the founder and coach of Brooklyn Kids Run. She assists Howard in designing workouts, leading group runs, and sharing her passion for running.


Roland is a co-leader of the Tuesday and Saturday RSRC workouts.  He is also involved with helping Howard to grow the club and in organizing special events. 

Roland started running at age 12 and has competed in cross country, indoor and outdoor track in the 800 meters , 1,600 meters 3,200 meters, 2-mile relay and steeplechase.  He has run a total of 6 marathons, 4 NYC and 2 Long Island with a PR of 3:17.  He enjoys cycling, hiking and cross training.
